Is the Fender Blues Junior A good amp?
It’s an amp that plays great, and gives me the classic Fender sound that I’ve heard on so many classic recordings. It’s built really well and I’m not afraid to push a lot of sound out of it. Also, with such a great price, I don’t have to take out an insurance policy when I take it to a gig.

Blues Jr is a great little amp and a ton of ppl have a lot of experience with them. I know when I went out to specifically get a BJr. I came home with a Traynor YCV-20. I also liked the sound of the Peavey Classic 30, around the same price.

How loud is a Fender Pro Junior?
The Pro Jr is indeed loud. Very loud in fact, if you want to push the amp and make it sing. 2-3 on the volume is going to be really loud in a quiet in home environment. You could use a gain pedal out front and keep the amps volume low, but the amp sounds weak and thin without the volume turned up a bit.

Typically, a 20 watt tube amp should be loud enough for most purposes up to smaller unmiked club gigs, but you’ll likely want more headroom if you need loud cleans.

The Blues Jr is too loud to really give up the goods in a bedroom or apartment setting imo. At least, to get the best of the amp. If you’re gonna run pedals in front of it, this becomes a moot point.
Does Fender Blues Jr take pedals well?
Great Little Amp!! The Fender Blues Junior IV does just that. This amp takes all my pedals real well and the Celestion speaker is a big plus.
Is 15 watts loud enough to gig with?
Small 15 and 20- watt guitars amps can be used for playing gigs in certain situations. Something in the 40 or 50- watt range, either a combo or a head paired with a 2×12 cabinet. But, if the situation permitted it, I would prefer to use an even smaller amp to take to gigs and possibly even rehearsals.
